The Healthy Hive youth advisory board is a group of teens ages 14-19 who help make health programs more informative and reliable. We work with Family Health Council of Central PA (FHCCP) to make sure their programs — including those focused on teen pregnancy prevention — work for people our age.
As a Hive member, you’ll review FHCCP’s health programs and materials and share your honest thoughts on how to improve them. FHCCP staff want to learn from you because your ideas directly change how these programs help teens in our area.
Your ideas will help hundreds of your peers in our region and shape the future of FHCCP’s programs.
Learn how to share your thoughts and make smart decisions. (Plus, this will look great on your resume!)
Meet other teens from different backgrounds, build new relationships and learn from them.
Get gift card vouchers for taking part and sharing your experiences.
Earn volunteer hours that count toward graduation requirements or college applications.
You’ll participate in monthly online meetings and review program materials. You’ll give feedback on how to improve services for teens. Members commit to a one-year term of quality engagement. This includes about 1-2 hours of review work between meetings. See more details.
To become a member of the youth advisory board, you need to be between the ages of 14–19 and live in FHCCP’s service area (see regional below). The Healthy Hive has a two-step application process: Fill out an application, and if selected for the next round, complete an 30 minute virtual interview.
Applications open in September. Want to join? Fill out the form below and we’ll contact you when applications are ready.
