Before any programming begins, Hive Members thoroughly review any materials that will be presented to young people. Members review all content to decide if it is:
- medically accurate
- age-appropriate
- culturally and linguistically appropriate
- trauma-informed
- inclusive
Hive member feedback about a particular program is used to determine whether it is a good fit for a specific community. Sometimes, Hive members recommend small updates or adjustments be made before the start of a program.
If the suggestions of the Hive are approved, these updates are shared with health educators and are incorporated into their training. All programs are reviewed by Hive members once a year to make sure that they are still a good fit for the young folks taking part in the programs.
