Public Health programs often use multimedia messages to build awareness and readiness among populations to promote their engagement in making positive health decisions.
The Healthy Hive’s work is no different.
Hive members play an active role in the creation of health messages used to promote access to medically accurate information about sexual and reproductive health. Not only do they curate messages for their peers, but they develop messages for parents/caregivers and other youth-supporting adults.
Campaign messages are meant to encourage youth and their parents/caregivers to have conversations about sexual and reproductive health through sharing trusted information about how to have those difficult conversations.
Similarly, the campaign helps to promote local supportive services for youth and their parents.
